Was one of your New Year's resolutions to find yourself? To be a 'new you' ? To find the 'old you' you feel you've lost somewhere along the way?
This is the course for you! Over 12 weeks we will explore how to (re) find your voice through writing. In a supportive online space, you will be given the tools and resources to begin that journey. There will be exercises and the opportunity to share (if you choose to) your words and to feel heard and held in a space.
A 6-week course designed to find supportive ways to navigate the menopause. Join us as we look at how to celebrate 'the change' and empower women's voices amidst the brain fog, lost words and empty nests.
Back as an online course, this popular 7-week course is designed to help you explore your own wellbeing through words. We will focus on how to use a journal to support your development. Mediums will include collage, words, sketching, doodling, poems, images, and songs.
An 8-week course exploring memoir writing. How do we write our own stories? Why are memoirs so popular? How do we navigate the ethical issues around true stories? By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of how to plan and shape a memoir.
Individual online coaching sessions are available according to your needs - Have you always wanted to write a book and don't know where to start? Do you want a taster therapeutic writing session? Are you struggling with the dreaded writer's block? Book a session for £40 (I will send out a quick form to assess your needs and maximise our time together).
This 6-week course explores the new art of zine making - a form of mixed media writing focussing on a theme/idea. By the end of the course you will know how to make a short zine and learnt how to use this expressive form to find a creative voice.
I've written from dark places and in dark spaces. My dark fiction novels originate in prisons, graveyards, abandoned hospitals, the hidden corners of my head and heart.
Sometimes those words find their way into novels. Sometimes they stay hidden. But wherever they wander, they always act as therapy.
If you'd like to work with your own dark words, to find your voice when it feels like you are lost, then contact me. I'm a qualified creative writing as therapeutic practice facilitator. Bit wordy. What it actually means is that I'm passionate about supporting other people to find the words, the stories that haven't been heard yet. The ones we need to hear or keep close.
I support people with a story to find and tell. I support people to overcome writers' block. We'd use whatever form of writing works for you: journaling, spoken word, mixed media, colours, images, tattoos, short narrative or a full-blown novel. The words might help with those glimpses of darkness or celebrate the shimmers of light.
Writing groups last 90 minutes. Individual sessions last an hour. There is no pressure to read out your words. Just know you are heard and held in storied spaces.
